Ra-All-Mighty's Elseworld DC Universe.

[Ra-All-Mighty]

Hello. I'm a new member here and just wanted to share some of my ideas and designs with other like minded and creative fans of the comic world. I was a fan of DC comics Elseworlds line of comics when the company was in the habit of doing those types of comics and of course thought of my own various takes on characters from the DC Universe. I also have my own original characters that I have created and may post at a later date. I dabble with drawing but due to a very busy family and home life I don't get to draw as much as I would like to but I've used the Fabrica De Herois character creator to put together quite a few character designs. I have my versions of the Golden, Silver, Bronze and Modern day eras of this Elseworld mapped out but I thought I would start off with the Modern era with the Big Three with brief notes on the character changes and hopefully at a later time post up other characters and eras. Feed back both positive and negative are welcome. (I'm a better artist and character designer than I am a writer)





SUPERMAN




History: Prior to placing the infant Kal-El into the vessel that will deliver him to Earth from the dying Krpton, Jor-El by way of Kryptonian science micro implants the entire wealth of Krytonian history, knowledge and culture within the child’s subconscious mind. As a child the young Kal-El/Clark Kent at times randomly has bits of scientific knowledge released into his conscious mind leading to his adopted parents the Kents to not only worried about the unusual physical abilities their son develops over time but his superior intellectual capacities as well which they do their best to encourage Clark to play down in order not to draw unwanted attention to himself. At the age of sixteen a genetic trigger is activated and young Clark Kent is enlightened to his Kryptonian origins, why he has the physical abilities he has and the ability to access the wealth of Kryptonian knowledge that is implanted in his mind. With this new found sense of identity Clark Kent begins his journey to becoming a champion and force for good to his adopted home world by going off to the frozen waste of the Arctic and using his knowledge of Krytonian architecture, technology and super abilities to create his Fortress of Solitude where he spends the next two years honing his abilities and starts mastering the full extent of the Kryptonian knowledge at his disposal. Initially after making his first public appearance in uniform the press duded him “The Mystery Samaritan” due to the House of El sigil on his chest resembling the letter “S” and his reply of “Just a good Samaritan” when asked who he was, he officially became known as Superman after aiding the Metropolis S.C.U. battle one of the first public criminal undertakings of Intergang and the Daily Planet’s Lois Lane gave him the new moniker after hearing on of the S.C.U. officers comment “ This guy is more than a good Samaritan, he’s a super-man!” Although billionaire scientist/businessman Lex Luthor revealed to the world at large the fact that Superman is an alien from another world (due to his obtaining cell samples through deception and attempting to clone Superman for his own ends, leading to the creation of the evil and insane “pseudo” Kryptonian known as Zod) the majority of the general public has chosen to disbelieve this claim due in part to Superman himself choosing to not acknowledge the claim in anyway and the general distrust and suspicion that the public has for Luthor due to some of his perceived shady business dealings and scientific practices. Kryptonite comes into being due to Zod who using his genetically duplicated Kryptonian knowledge produces the radioactive green mineral, which was a naturally created radioactive mineral found on the destroyed Krypton, boosting it’s radiation output in order to use as a weapon to destroy his “brother” Kal-El.





BATMAN







Modified history. Origin remains intact. Some details of early life during training prior to becoming the Batman are altered. Bruce Wayne and Harvey Dent are childhood friends, making Batman’s confrontations with Two-Face more personal and somewhat intense for Wayne. The Sensei is the individual Bruce Wayne learns his martial arts techniques and skills from and The Sensei early on see Wayne as a possible weapon to use against Ra’s-Al Ghul ,thus allowing Wayne to go on his way after his training is complete rather than making him a member of the League of Assassins. Bruce Wayne owns controlling interest in Metropolis’ Daily Planet initially doing this as a way to monitor Superman’s activities prior to the two coming to an understand of each other and now uses it as a means to monitor and gain information on Lex Luthor and his various activities once he learns of the full extent of Luthor’s criminal nature.







WONDER WOMAN III







Real Name: Stephanie “Stevie” Trevor.

History: Stephanie Trevor is the eldest of the two daughters of Princess Diana of Thymescria and former military intelligence officer Major Steven Trevor and the third woman of the royal line of Thymescria to assume the mantle of Wonder Woman as did both her mother and grandmother, Queen Hypolyta of Thymescria before her. Like her mother Princess Diana, Stephanie (as well as her younger sister Cassiopeia aka Cassie) possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility and fighting ferocity that is above the level of normal members of the Amazon race due to the genes of her grandfather the Greek god of war,Ares. (More detals on this when I get around to posting about Hypolyta the original Wonder Woman.

AQUAMAN II








Real Name: Artann, Prince and heir to the throne of Atlantis.


History: Prince Artann of Atlantis is the son of King Arturr of Atlantis, the original Aquaman and Queen Dol, the woman who was once known as Dolphin. Brash, arrogant and at times hot-tempered, Artann was challenged by his father to take up the mantle of Aquaman and continue the heroic legacy that he began in order for the young prince to learn the humility and other qualities needed for him to be successful in one day ruling the kingdom of Atlantis himself one day. Gifted with the above normal physical abilities of those born under the seas as well as the aquatic telepathy inherent in all of those of born to the royal line of Atlantis, Artann so far has been successful both in continuing the Aquaman legacy and making it his own. For a brief time Artann and Stevie Trevor aka Wonder Woman shared a romantic relationship shortly after he first appeared on the surface world as the new Aquaman and the two remain close friends after they went their separate ways in new relationships. Artann is currently romantically involved with Lady Mera of the Atlantean city state of Xebel, who herself is very skilled in hydrokinesis. As Aquaman his most persistent & deadliest foe thus far has been his own uncle, Lord Arram aka the Ocean Master who also plagued his father when he bore the mantle of Aquaman. Artann also has recently gained two young side kicks to aid him in some of his adventures as Aquaman: his teen-aged sister Arnaa aka Aquagirl and her boyfriend & their father’s teen-aged ward Kal Hyde aka Kid Aqua, and son of King Arturr’s old foe as Aquaman, Black Manta.



GREEN LANTERN II










Altered history and origin for John Stewart and altered version of the “Green Lantern Corp”. John Stewart was a young Army Staff Sergeant serving in the Special Forces Division, who becomes disillusioned with military service after becoming involved in an incident with the power hungry and sadistic commanding officer of his unit, Captain Guy Gardner, whose orders and disregard for safety during a training mission leads to the deaths of two squad members directly under Stewart’s command as well as several other members of his platoon. John’s first hand testimony in the court martial hearing against Gardner leads to the officer’s dismissal from the military and imprisonment, but Stewart himself becomes frustrated with military service due to individuals like Gardener being allowed to rise in the ranks and thrive. After leaving the military Stewart returns to his home in California, where he acquires a job as an electronics technician for a local tech development company. One summer’s evening while attending his parents’ home for a family cookout, John and the rest of the Stewart family is surprised in the backyard by the sudden arrival of the costumed champion the Green Lantern. In his civilian identity as Hal Jordan he is a long-standing family friend to the Stewarts’ going back to the days when John’s father Alvin (one of the few individuals who knew of Jordan’s secret) worked alongside Jordan at Ferris Aircraft. Jordan’s arrival at the Stewarts’ home is to recruit John into the ranks of the Galactic Guardsmen Corp, (the names Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corp were coined by and used only by Earth’s media due to the lantern like insignia of the Corp on their uniforms and the glowing emerald energy generated by Guardsmen in battle mode) to the intergalactic peacekeeping force that Jordan obtained his Green Lantern abilities from, to aid them in battle in what will turn out to be their final conflict with their arch nemesis, the would be galactic conqueror, Sinestro who has gained control and leadership over the original android enforcers used by the Guardians of the Universe, the Manhunters, and transformed them into his personal “Anti-Guardmen Corp” army. Jordan as the high-ranking Guardsman Prime of the Guardsmen Corp wants John because of his integrity and military experience that will be an asset to the ranks of the Guardsmen Corp during the battle. Looking to regain some of the excitement and purpose he missed since leaving the military, John readily agrees and after being granted a Guardsmen Power Suit and given a quick tutorial on its use and abilities, he finds himself at the heart of intergalactic space along side the rest of the Galactic Guardsmen Corp confronting Sinestro and the Manhunters. John Stewart’s military experience and integrity indeed play a vital role in the defeat of Sinestro and the Manhunters, but the Corp does not achieve this victory without exacting a high price. Hal Jordan sacrifices himself in order to stop Sinestro’s last-ditch doomsday gambit that he attempts at his defeat: overloading his anti-matter Power Suit and the power cores of the Manhunters to destroy the Guardians and the corp. John Stewart is recognized by the Guardians of the Universe, the founders of the Galactic Guardsmen Corp, for his strengths and is give a permanent place in the Corp by making him Hal Jordan’s replacement as the Guardsman of the galactic sector 2814, the sector Hal Jordan was responsible for prior to being promoted to Guardsman Prime. John Stewart has uphold and successfully continued Jordan’s legacy on Earth as the Green Lantern and as a member of the Galactic Guardsman Corp.




FLASH











Modified origin and for Barry Allen. An electro-chemical accident while processing a crime alters police crime scene forensics investigator Barry Allen’s bio- chemistry and attunes his body to the Universal Speed Force giving him his super speed abilities. Flash is second only to Batman when it comes to deductive reasoning and detective skills, which has grudgingly earned him the respect of Batman. Barry must now add to his list of concerns as the Flash overseeing to the well being and training of Wally West the teen-aged brother of his fiancée Iris West, who after being kidnapped and subjected to electro-chemical experiments by Flash’s mysterious speed powered nemesis Professor Zoom, has gained his own set of super speed abilities and now calls himself Kid Flash.

GREEN ARROW II









Altered history for Roy Harper. Roy Harper is the illegitimate son of Oliver Queen, the original Green Arrow and one of his former lovers, a former model named Madison Harper, whom Queen learned was dying of cancer a few years after he married his lover and partner Dinah Lance, the Black Canary and had given birth to a son named Roy years earlier and that he was the father. Because of Oliver’s irresponsible & reckless demeanor back at the time that they were involved, Madison Harper had kept Roy’s existence and paternity a secret, but her dying wish was for Roy, who was now becoming an irresponsible carbon copy of the young Oliver Queen, to know & be raised by his father and hopefully become responsible and focused like Queen had become over time. The teen-aged Roy’s relationship with his father was at first rocky but over time, through bonding by way of archery & martial arts training and learning of the secret identities and crime fighting activities of his father and step mother, Roy eventually developed a strong and respectful relationship with his father. So much so that when his father sustained a near fatal injury that lead to the end of his activities as Green Arrow, Roy stepped up and assumed the mantle and crime fighting duties of Green Arrow. As Green Arrow Roy has successfully continued to fight villainy in many forms most notably the machinations of Count Werner Vertigo, the Vlatvian born criminal mastermind who has set his sights on becoming Star City’s underworld crime networks reigning crime lord. During his outings as Green Arrow Roy Harper came to have dealings with another would be masked champion of Star City, the Huntress The two eventually became crime fighting partners and lovers. Roy has also gained an additional partner in his crime fighting activities in the form of his teen half sister Olivia Queen, daughter of Oliver and Dinah, in her identity as the Arrowette.



HUNTRESS II










Real Name : Artemis Crock


Altered history for Artemis Crock. Artemis Crock is the daughter of the villains Lawrence Crock aka the Sportsmaster and Paula Brooks, the original bearer of the Huntress name. Artemis was trained in weapons, martial arts, acrobatics and gymnastics by her parents who both tried to groom their daughter to follow in their footsteps as a super criminal but as a teen Artemis came to resent her parents for trying to force a dangerous and reckless lifestyle upon her and made the decision to use her skills to fighting crime rather perpetrating them. When Artemis was of legal age her parents tried to shop her skills to various element of the local criminal underground of Star City, but Artemis instead began to covertly make strikes upon these various elements in her identity as the new Huntress. Her endeavors were successful and eventually put her at odds with and into actual conflict with her parents over time once they learn of her true motives. It was this battle with her parents that first drew the attention of the current Green Arrow who aided her in this conflict. The two would go on to form a loose partnership before going on to become full time partners and lovers.

Altered history and character for both Nabu and Kent Nelson. Naa-Buu the Wise was one of the most powerful mages of ancient civilization and master mage of all Egypt during his time. Naa-Buu was the leader of a faction of seven mages from the known civilizations of the times called the Lords of Order. All were powerful mages who had attained a mastery of the mystic arts on an almost cosmic level (making them immortal) and had dedicated themselves to using their magic for the good of humanity. The Lords of Order also used their powers to oppose the Masters of Chaos, a group of seven equally powerful mages but of opposing natures and intent dedicated to conquest and destruction. The two opposing mage factions battled each other on several occasions thru out the centuries, but their conflict came to a head some 3000 years ago in ancient Egypt. The leader of the Masters of Chaos, the Celtic mage Mordru had discovered a way to shatter the power of the Lords of Order. Mordru forges the Black Diamond of Chaos that allows the Masters of Chaos to draw upon the dark aspects of their natures and wills and combines them into a single physical manifested being of power. This composite being took the name of Eclipsus and was able to use the power of the Black Diamond to absorb the astral essence from the Lords of Order, rendering them powerless, all save for Naa-Buu, whose spiritual essence was far stronger than his fellow mages. Mordru and his fellow Masters of Chaos combined their might with Eclipsus in an assault against Naa-Buu and were able to rend Naa-Buu’s spirit from his physical form. Even removed from his body Naa-Buu’s spiritual essence was still too powerful for the Masters of Chaos to destroy, so therefore they imprisoned it within a mystic canopic jar. Centuries later in Egypt in the early twentieth century, archeologist Sven Nelson discovered the pyramid tomb of the pharaoh warrior-prince Khufu Ka-Amon. Within the tomb among the rest of the ancient relics was the canopic jar that housed the spirit of Naa-Buu. Sven Nelson’s teen-aged son, Kent had accompanied him during the excavation of the tomb and while aiding his father and workers in trying to open the tomb’s inner sanctum. Kent Nelson accidentally triggered one of the various mechanisms designed to protect the tomb from grave robbers and was trapped within the inner sanctum by a cave in and crushed by a rock pillar in the sanctum that had been set as a protective measure. The cave in also displaced various artifacts within the sanctum, one being the mystic canopic jar containing Naa-Buu’s spirit causing it to fall and shatter. Naa-Buu’s spirit was freed and sensing the waning life essence of Kent Nelson entered his body. Naa-Buu’s mystic essence allowed him to heal the teen’s damaged body, as well as gain access to all of Kent Nelson’s knowledge and memories, allowing Naa-Buu for all intents and purpose to be Kent Nelson, while retaining all of his own knowledge, memories and mystical abilities, once young Nelson was finally able to be dug from the inner sanctum by Sven Nelson and his workers. Kent Nelson went on to follow in his father’s footsteps as an archeologist, an occupation that allowed the spirit of Naa-Buu to be able to track down and take possession of various powerful mystical artifacts that had become lost through the ages. It wasn’t until a resurrected Mordru appeared that Kent/Naa-Buu adopted the guise of Doctor Fate (whose uniform was composed of some of the mystical artifacts Kent had collected through the years, such as the Helmet of Fate from which he chose the name for his guised identity) in order to combat his ancient foe. The initial intent of the Doctor Fate identity was to conceal Naa-Buu’s possession of Kent Nelson’s form from Mordru, who over time discovered Fate’s true identity. After his first modern battle with Mordru, Kent/ Naa-Buu continued to employ the Doctor Fate identity to battle various other mystical spawned threats that arose and erected the structure that became known as “The Tower of Fate” as his mystic strong hold and storage facility for the various mystical items and artifacts that came into his possession that were too dangerous to be allowed to fall into the wrong hands. At the advent of the Second World War, Doctor Fate became aware of the Nazis intent to use the occult to further their agenda and focused his abilities into combating them whenever they came into possession or employed any occult items or devices. This was the factor in Doctor Fate’s choosing to join the ranks of the wartime metahuman organization that became the original Legion of Superheroes. Two decades ago Naa-Buu was faced with the combined might of Mordru and another then recently resurrected Master of Chaos, the Nordic sorcerer Wotan and in order to defeated both of his old foes he was forced to use and incorporate a few of the powerful mystic artifacts from his tower into his Dr. Fate garb to enhance his already formidable powers. With the enhancement of his abilities Naa-Buu became more driven and focused upon keeping order in the world and crushing any “chaotic” mystic threats and thus has more or less abandoned the pretence of being mortal and mystically enhancing Kent Nelson’s form and making it resistant to the effects of time and aging something he had not done prior to this in order to keep some semblance of Kent Nelson having a life. Doctor Fate has continued to be the foremost protector of Earth against all forms of mystic and occult threats as well as played a hand in the destiny and origin of various heroes such as Hawkman (the modern day descendant of Khufu Ka-Amon , the Hawk Warrior, an avatar warrior in service to the cause of the Lords of Order after they were defeated by the Masters of Chaos) and the mage Za’Tanna.

THE ATOM







Altered history and origin for the Ryan Choi incarnation of the Atom. Ryan Choi was a brilliant and promising student of physics and protégé and teaching assistant to world renowned physicist Dr. Raymond Palmer who worked and taught at the prestigious Ivy University located in Ivy Town. Choi is also a world class martial artist having learned and mastered various fighting styles starting from when he was old enough to walk. Ray Palmer comes into possession of white dwarf star matter and begins experimenting with ways to develop a means of shrinking other forms of matter. After various research and testing Palmer with assistance from Choi, goes on to create a prototype belt device which in theory will allow a human being to reduce in size with the intent of such a device to be utilized in scientific and medical applications. A scientific cabal of the Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination (the H.I.V.E.) learns of Palmer’s research and the prototype and send agents in their employ to take custody of both Ray Palmer and the belt to use for their own criminal ends. The H.I.V.E. agents succeed in capturing Palmer but Ryan is able to prevent them from acquiring the belt by donning it and uses it to free Palmer. The incident brings Dr. Palmer and Choi to the realization that The H.I.V.E. and quite possibly other criminal elements may again attempt to gain possession & make use of Palmer’s mind and the belt. Since Ryan made a good showing of himself against the H.I.V.E. agents with the belt, Palmer decides that the best way to keep the belt out of the wrong hands is for Ryan to take possession of it and make use of it himself. To that end Choi creates the costume identity of the Atom and has used it to strike at the H.I.V.E. and other various criminal entities and organizations seeking to operate within Ivy Town. Since graduating from Ivy University Ryan Choi has gone on to be employed as the head of the physics division of a branch of STAR Labs that operates in Ivy Town and still receives advice and guidance from his friend and mentor Ray Palmer.
